King Spheraf The Red

King Spheraf The Red is a hollow sphere of volcanic Moss Agate (or Red Jasper, depending on whom you ask), from Utah. Jonny contacted a rock vendor in New York and asked, "Have you any boxes full of deep red stones?" The King's stone's pointed edges made the boxed journey to the Ozarks perilous, but they did arrive. 

King Spheraf rests on a custom cast acrylic holder which is nestled into a custom, powder coated steel stand. The cast acrylic holder, and half of King Spheraf, is surrounded by The King's Victorianesque collared cloak, a hollowed-out tree bottom and root system, upside down from the way in which they grew into the Earth.

As with all natural elements, had it been left on the Ozarks hillside where Jonny found it, the Earth would have claimed it, eventually. Walnut sawdust mixed with clear epoxy fills and permanently stabilizes its interior side walls.

Small fragments of King Spheraf are also mixed with clear epoxy to fill and bond voids in the wood.

It must be exhibited away from sunlight or other ultraviolet light sources.

The price includes delivery and set-up within the continental United States.

The sculptor will accompany King Spheraf The Red to ensure its safe delivery. He will require the help of two strong individuals during setup.

The sale is final. No returns, no refunds unless King Spheraf The Red is irreparably damaged during transport to the buyer's destination. In that unlikely case, the buyer would have the option of a refund or to select another sculpture.
